Building creative media for a group like FireLeague is a designer's dream come true. High impact and visually dynamic graphics to accent a site based on the very premise of fun. FireLeague first commissioned Back2DLab Web Design to create illustrations to implement into an existing template. It was soon a match made in heaven as Back2DLab's style and unique visual approach quickly became an essential component to the FireLeague brand from the site and support graphics to the very logo itself, Back2DLab was involved in every aspect.
However, every job comes with it's own challenges and FireLeague was no exception. The old site had an enormous database of registered users. One of the new objectives for the site was to dramatically expand every aspect of the user profiles including the messaging systems, the personalization and the implementation of an awards and trophy system. One of the keys to FireLeague's success and what makes the site stand out from other fantasy sports sites is the prevalence and functionality of the user community. To import the existing user tables into the new profile architecture involved extensive scripting as well as substantial alterations to the existing database. In other words, hours of good clean fun.
Currently, Back2DLab is building support media and implementing SEO strategies to roll out the site for the 2011 Football Season and substantially increase FireLeague's market share over competing sites. We are also putting in place the elements to expand the site for other professional fantasy sports.
